An update – It’s hard to get the first client

We have been contacting people in our niche. Without an example site(s) it’s near impossible to continue the sales process.

Even our approach of giving a substantial discount hasn’t worked. Nobody has taken us up yet on the offer. The problem is a discounted site still feels like a scam. When customers don’t know us it’s easy to be cynical. If they don’t trust us they will never feel comfortable since we could be giving them them 50% off of our prices after we pre-inflated first by 120%.

We may end up having to give away a site or two. It feels wrong but having this business stall out because we weren’t willing to take on a little more risk also feels wrong.

I guess it’s time to work for free for a while 😉
